Default Would a clutch on its way out cause a feeling of loss of power before its noticeably slipping

or is there no sort of transition into slipping and either the clutch is slipping or it is transfering all the power produced by the engine?

It either slips or it grabs. It it isn't slipping, it's working.

Default It can. you can get "skipping" as I called it on a turbo car

basically the clutch will disengage, the load will drop, the boost will drop, the clutch will re-engage and repeat.

Default which will then over heat the disk, flywheel and pressure plate surface

causing it to just slip completly.
