Would an JL 500/5 be enough for a whole system including 2 jl 10w3s?

you can actually have one side lower than the other. Best to have dedicated subs so you can narrow down problems when it comes down to faults in the stereo system.
Besides..... Multiple amps look cool. Girls dig multiple amps.

I have it, and have it powered by a 250/1. If you just want bass, then a single 10w3 is plenty. If you want that much bass that you go deaf before you're 30, then go with more bigger louder subs. Honestly if you want a clean sounding system, stick with 10"s, and if you don't need so much bass that ppl follow you and jack your ****, get a single sub. it'll be plenty. if you're not happy, add another sub

pretty isn't always good... Audiobahn amps look great, but hell they fail so often. JL amps are ugly, but they work great.
1 amp for front/rear. 1 amp for the subs, or 2 amps if needbe.

mine is 75w x 4 and 250 to the sub. It's loud enough for me and pretty clean. They don't make them anymore, I goe mine used off a abuddy for $300 with 2 years of warranty remaining. Just a thought.

the 12s i used to have. Im probably still going with dos just because I like having the bass there is i wanna turn it up and Im probably going to have a nice custom box made for the trunk which would look hot with 2 10s.

That is defently worth it. It is defently loud enough. but if you do get that make sure you get a power cap. I can't even count the number of people that fingered me cause they think I was flashing my brights at them.

500/1 and a 300/4 would be better AND cheaper. One of the channels on the 500/5 is a 250 watt mono pretty much used for powering a sub only and since you already have a 500/1 the sub channel on the 500/5 is not used.
