I wish. If you could swap an ATW for another kind I'd take it.

I thought your car was an AEB? And... that's just wrong, poor little dawg.

Ahh, but does it have skull and bones accessories? You couldn't handle the power they added huh?!

Default Took 'em off.

The valve cover is off now. There's a bit of sludge, but there are little bits and pieces of plastic from the cam tensioner all over the fvcking place. As deep down inside of it as I can see, I can see little bits of plastic.

However, the engine fires right up and you can drive it for 20 minutes before it hits limp mode. Maybe 5 miles before the oil light comes on.

The thought is there could be bits of pieces all through the engine, so it's not worth trying to fix.

Default ;) I know you did.....

That's too bad Mica, a bummer to have to deal with that issue too. Well, you'll have a good runner and a solid platform when it's done anyway I suppose.

Good luck!

Default Blah. Joey said his guy's ATW engine is 2500 bucks.

I wanted to go outside work, hail a cab, and walk in front of it.

Default Ouch (to both things) Why not rebuild the one you have?

Plastic, while it can damage things by blocking oil flow etc, will most likely not have done any *real* damage.

A "light" rebuild and cleaning out of the block would be a quick and simple job all things considered.
