Would Royal Purple increase throttle response?

Would Royal Purple increase throttle response?
I just upgraded to RP this passed weekend and in addition removed the intake tube to my K&N filter. I know a better flowing intake does increase throttle response..but by just removing that tube increase it that much..or would the Royal Purple help out?

I dont know about throttle responce
I changed to royal purple and I havent really noticed any different throttle responce, but I have noticed around 2-4 miles per gallon better.
