Default would upgraded injectors do me any good?

i currently have a 99 1.8t with an apr chip and am looking to get a little bit more power out of it, someone suggested upgrading the injectors. what is involved in doing this, how much does the reflash of the ecu through apr cost? how much of a power gain will this upgrade give?

Default With the stock turbo, probably not. You only need larger injectors when you consistantly max out ...

the stock injectors...

Default have you done exhaust yet? that'll give you a little more power.

injectors won't do jack with our cars. that's a B6 trick bc of their returnless fuel system

Default What do you mean by "upgraded"?

If you mean injectors that flow more, then no.
If you mean a higher-quality injector, then maybe. I could see a new RS Injector or something similar providing a better or more consistent spray pattern than the OEM injectors with 100,000 miles on 'em. That said, I wouldn't bother with it. If you have a lot of miles on yours, maybe have them professionally cleaned.

Default Dealer changed all of ours to the "red top" version under warranty....

It seemed they had some issues with injectors in these cars and went through some different versions. The car(00 30v) was idling terrible when new , so I complained, they replaced all the injectors under warranty which improved the running. No more power, not a slam dunk, but better running and mpg. My guess is that the spray pattern is better and provides improved detination. You would probably do better going after market.
