Default I wasn't into the polished lip thing before, but it's growm on me

I really like the BBS ones like it, but I won't pay $500 per wheel for anything and they aren't even super light at that price. When it comes down to it there isn't much out there that meets my taste, budget and needs....taste is subjectove, but I prefer clean wheels, non 3 piece look, budget is sub $300 per wheel, and needs is less than 23 lbs in 18.

What do you think of racing hart C3? A few bucks more, but same weight, a little less bling than anthracite with a polished lip.

Default any idea on weight?

if they are reasonable, less than 23 lbs, I am tempted. The price is so right. I email ER for some pics on any car in anthracite, so I'll put them on this thread if I get any.

Default It wasn't the polished lip...

It just doesn't remotely resemble a BBS in my mind. Anyway, the Racing hart is a little better. Be careful though...if you like wheels with lips, and you ever decide to put in big brakes....

Default I guess I'm not as picky about wheels

it's 1/3 the cost of BBS and once I see pic of them in anthracite I can decide. I doubt I'll go to big brakes...but who knows.

Default ok...according to ER, they weigh 21 lbs

not bad 188 per wheel, 18x8.5 and o21 lbs is respectable for an 18" wheel. Tempting.

https://forums.audiworld.com/a4/msgs/1526197.phtml</a

Default What if the weight were more like 23 lbs.?

Just playing devils advocate here....as fudging wheel weight numbers has been known to happen (not accusing ER here, just something to be aware of).

But what can ya really do? Say you get the wheel and put it on your scale and it weighs 23.4lbs...you call 'em on it and they claim "well our scale read 21.3lbs." So either they lied about what their scale said or they have an inaccurate scale...you'd never know. Or they might say "well that's what the mfr. told us" and they hadn't actually verified in-house. Anyways, I take wheel weights with a grain of salt unless there's hard proof (ie...James R and BBS CH . .02... Good luck

Default I guess I'm just saying I want something reasonably low by my standards...

just threw a number out there for the sake of some rough reference. In the end tire choice plays into the overall weight as well. I figure if they say one thing or another, it should be reasonably close. So in the case of the wasp, they advertise 19 lbs, I am going to go out on a limb and assume it's close...say no more than 21. But you are right, always taking a chance. I just dont' want to scarifice too much in going to a new, bigger wheel.
