Default Cant even look at power to weight

because that would put you out of nearly ever class since your car is over weight and under powered.

That so called "1 major engine upgrade", doesn't really effect turbo charged cars by what their rules state. This means the evo's can up the displacement of their stock motors which they all do anyway. So basicly this means you can do the same.

Here it is from their site.

Engines are permitted to be "built". (Forged rods, pistons, crank, etc). Built engines are not considered a major engine upgrade per these rules. Upgraded turbo chargers, on a vehicle that came with a factory turbo, is NOT considered a "Major" engine upgrade per these rules.

Default enter your car on teh west coast ;)

I read the rules. nothing will stop me from showing up. I like the events. I like the competition. I may not win or even podium, but at least I show up and try. maybe an EVO will blow up. maybe go off. you never know.

Default You'd finish better than he would. His car is not a track built car...

1/4 mile and tracking are so polar opposite from each other in just about every regard(suspension, manifolds, turbo's etc....). Drag cars get rebuilt frequently and don't run 1,000th of the continuous stress and load of a track car, plus we turn alot and we brake alot more often

Default Twin scroll GT35r > Twin scroll GT3076r.

And good luck finding either with twin scroll varients.

I know there are 35r varients out there, but never heard of any twin scroll GT3076 varients.

On a track... lag wouldn't be much of a factor with the 3076r... so running a twin scrol would be dump if that was your situation, imo.

Default LOL, my car has been on 3 different "tracks" :P

Buttonwillow, Streets of Willow and Fontana(1.8t challenge). But it isn't like the time attack is some 20 lap race, its just 1 lap.

Lets also remember my car is around 2850 lbs and 800hp. I could stop at each corner, run hard in the straights and still beat you

Default I already show up, I just go with my friend since his car will be running in the events this year.

We have even talked about entering my car but road racing just doesn't do anything for me and I raced karts for 2 years.

Default Well just check Full-race, they sell twin scroll setups for the Evo and STI.

Here is their list of TS turbos.

GT3071r .78 A/R
GT3076r .78 A/R
GT3582r 1.06 A/R
T4/T67 DBB .84, 1.00, 1.15 and 1.32 A/R
and the list keeps going with larger TS turbos.

When I have the twin scroll manifold done on my car I plan on going with either the T4/T67 dbb or GT4088.

BTW I was just giving him options to gain some bottom end tq while going with the larger turbo since that was what he seemed to be worried about. If he doesn't want to wait for a TS setup he could always just go with a 3071 or 3076 seeing that is what everyone is doing now.

Default yup, can't lose low end, especially at technical tracks.

unfortunately, there is no replacement for displacement.

Default then you better show up ;)

If we can't beat the EVOs, let's at least have enough Audis at these events to have a race within the race
