WTF!! My car got keyed the other day, add another to the collection of scrathes, dents and chips...
Id say around a 3ft scratch from the middle of my front Pass door to the middle of the rear Pass door.
I think it happened when I went to Wal-Mart(could be the crux of the entire issue, but I live in a nice town in CT so its not too bad) the other day to get some flouresant bulbs. Parked in the lot furthest away from the doors, next to an XJR. The guy got in and left as I pulled in so I know it wasnt him.
I used to park just in pack of cars like everyone else, then I got a ton of door dings. So now I do the "cool guy" park far away thing, and i think my car has taken even more damage since. Maybe because I stand out being all alone, or people just "hating" because i like my car.
I have no people I know of that dont like me. Im guessing its just bad luck.
Do you think I would have any luck trying to get my insurance to do something about it. As a side note, before i had the car it was egged on the drivers door and never fixed, you can only really see it up close or it you know where to look, but there are 2 decent sized egg shatter marks. If I said these were from the same incendent would I be better off.
Is it worth the insurance crap or should I just pay for a whole paint job? Whats a ballpark for a respray of the same color? Anyone delt with anything close to this with any input? Thanks in advance.

IIRC there was a thread yesterday that stated an OEM quality paint job is like 6k+
