Default what he said^^

I had azenis 215s at similar depth to your back tires (just barely over the rub strip) and I was ALLLLL over the place at VIR in April when it was raining. Made things kinda interesting when going down the back straight and just feel the car pick up and slide to one side or the other about a foot!

Default My track requires 3/32" -- looking at the form you linked, "visible tread"?

I guess as long as it's not "invisible tread" you're OK by them. As others have mentioned, those are fine, just be careful if it rains.

You first track should not be about speed anyway. Focus on line and smoothness.

Have fun.

Default yup, but that's with most tires on a track in the rain. I couldn't get to 80 on the back at MidOhio

with the Azenis and they were fairly new at the time.

they're just not meant for the rain. wet, yes. rain, no.

Default that is a gut wrenching feeling. i've experienced that in a 2200lb tube frame while going 120mph...

eesh...let's just say that 275f/335r wide balding tires and rain don't mix well!

Default lol... yeah... it's right up there along w/ my instructor at VIR once...

driving his brand new C6 ZO6 down the back straight. We're hitting 155mph and the car is starting to kinda buffet up and down. He looks at me and goes, feel that? The car is trying to take off! I'm like... how 'bout you slow down now, huh?

Default yeah, I guess this is the first time I had them on a wet track...

but it was also compounded with the fact that the 'ol 4000 was already a lil unsteady on her feet during this last event... but then again, it was wet/raining the entire event... lol.

Default and small planes take off at much slower speeds than that.

they were starting to get enough lift to match the cars weight with more lift or speed they could go airborne
