Default WYSIWYG - what profile are your 255s? I'd like to find some 245/35 17s, R compound
or something similar, to get a bit more meat in the wells.

wouldn't 245/40/17 be closer to OEM diameter, or is that not a concern?

Default 245/40's would be alot like the stock 205/60/15's.
245/35/17's(23.86") are going to be way too short and 255/40 would be like the 225/45's.
