Default X-chip boost @ specific RPM

Can someone tell me how much boost they are getting with the '01 GIAC chip at 5000, 5500, 6000, and 6500 RPM? Tried a search but couldn't come up with a clear answer.

Default boost is not necessarily RPM specific.

that is why you will not get a straight answer.

Default I make vacuum at 6500rpm

While cruising off throttle on the highway.

Like Skene said, it isn't really RPM specific.

Default ......

Boost is applied when the throttle is depressed and acceleration is desired. IF you are cruising you will not see any boost, because no additional power is required to push your car at a constant speed then the engine could naturally produce, without a turbo.

Default Re: I make vacuum at 6500rpm

for the sake of arguement then, and to avoid any more bandwidth wasting smart-*** answers, lets assume I meant at WOT...for example, if I was accelerating hard from a roll in 2nd gear at 2000 RPM and merging onto a long open stretch of highway, where I had room to run it up through 6500 in 4th gear. What kind of boost numbers might I expect to see at 5/5.5/6/6.5K RPM under those conditions?

Default At sea level? What temps? Any other mods?

FWIW, I have posted pretty much exactly what you are looking for over a dozen times in a year and a half. Search harder next time.

--sea level, with exhaust and bpv, above 50 degrees--
2nd gear woun't break 15psi, 3rd might hold 18-20psi until 5300 where it will taper off to 14psi by 6500rpm. 4th and 5th do the same.

Default Re:

no ****! I guess it was too big of a leap to expect people to assume I was talking about WOT. And if you are cruising at 5000 RPM like I asked about, you might think about upshifting...

Default Re: Thanks, exactly what I was looking for

although I think this thread illustrates why the search function on this board is marginally useful for finding information like this. 7 threads deep, and only one contains useful information. A search for X-chip and boost over the last 2 years turns up 1827 hits. I'm sure this info is in there somewhere...

Default it was indeed

not in 5th gear.

next time say WOT..

not a waste of bandwith some people probably didn't know that at cruise no boost is needed.
