Default Well, so far, it's been interesting. As per my post regarding the VAG log

Basically, it brings up the powerband at the low and high end. Especially at the high end. My butt-dyno logs state that now the best shift point is at 6K RPM instead of 5K RPM, translating into much more acceleration.

Currently, I actually experience a funny phenomenon -- not sure if it's me or the car -- but basically when it hits 5K, it feels like a second power boost begins. I have a feeling it's just me expecting the lack of power and not getting it

Anyway, the peak power only feels a little higher. Really it's the extended range -- once the turbo kicks in, the car feels much more like a large NA one than a turbo charged one.

Default The X chip is only a ploy to blow turbos, so people upgrade to the K04 faster

I certainly hope so! I couldn't convince myself to buy a K04 otherwise...

Bah. There's plenty of K04/Tip combos out there with no problem.
