Default Anyone ever hear of using Brake Fluid on sidewalls?

I read this somewhere as something that dealers did to give a deep, rich wet shine. I did it to my old car before I sold it and it looked very good, but IMO - I wouldn't do it to 'my baby' unless I head some good data on it.

I use Eagle One Wet Tire Shine as well. Have to be careful to rub it in well, or you can get some spatter (with any product)
I have not tried yet, but hear good things about:
Stoners - More Shine Less Time
Meguiers - Tire Gel

Default Used both Meguiars and Eagle One (more) ...

Eagle One is basically glorified baby oil in a squirtbottle. Works good, but on really dry sidewalls it'll take a few applications to make them -glossy- . It's pretty non-messy as well, but it could last a while longer (personal feelings).

The Meguiars gel also works well, but is -messy- to work with. It lasts a very, -very- long time, though, and isn't prone to splatter since it really doesn't sit on the sidewall very long.

HTH...

You are NOT wrong. If you choose to use brake fluid, keep it AWAY from your rims!!!!
