I just installed a dvd player in my glovebox and the indash screen gets little thin white lines across the screen only when I apply more voltage. If the key is just in the car and radio is on there are no lines at all and the screen is perfect. When put to accessory the lines appear a little more, when engine is running there are a bunch more lines. It has something to do with the voltage not the video cord. Any suggestions?

fuse of my radio so the dvd player is always on. Should I put the wire to the battery itself, but that still means there is more voltage which will cause the lines again?

What you see is probably some electrical interference from, first the accesories, then later from the engine.
Ensure the power is good. Connect to battery but make sure there is a proper fuse near the battery.
Also make sure the ground connection is good and solid. This is actually thre most likely cause of the lines.
Then again I could be wrong.....
