do i need to buy the xenon-ready headlight housings if i plan to upgrade to HID lights... or will HID kits fit with non-xenon ready headlight housings?

also, what are some good kits.. where can i buy them?

philips 5400K hids. Trust me, it's like f'n daylight. You don't even need high beams at all.

My car came with US Spec halogen 2 piece. This was an update/upgrade. I hear the optics with US Spec halogen and xenon lights are not good.

so did u just buy those fake hid bulbs.. or did u get a true HID kit (ballasts, bulbs, etc..)

They are true HIDs with Philips ballasts, etc.

what did you secure the ballasts to? (are they mounted anywhere?)

there is a little cutout for it, even on the halogen cluster. I paid $500. All I had to do was trim my fender (only applies on pre 99.5 cars) and solder in a connecter I got from ECS tuning.

.. and then realized that i want hids in the future and wanted to make sure i didnt make a mistake by not getting the xenon-ready ones... BUT now im know im okay. Thanks for your help!! im excited to get the lamps
