Xenon headlights and how their pattern casts on a wall??
I just got an A4 with xenons and when i drive up to my garage door the pattern cast onto the garage door is not even all the way across!
The pattern is like a set of stairs.
In front of the left headlight the line is slightly below the height of the headlight.
In the center ahead of the grill the line is maybe 6 inches higher and in front of the right headlight the line is another 6 inches higher.
Does anyone else have this or is it supposed to be one line all the way across???

reason inside = )
With HID's the intensity of the beam is very high when you compare it to halogens. So what they do is for the left housing aim it below the right so it stops shorter than the right beam reducing the distance oncoming traffic will be blinded by the lights. The right light on the other hand is a bit higher because it is in theory used to better illuminate off road hazards, animals, people, cars etc and since no oncoming traffic on right side a bit higher = ) hope this explains it for you.
