<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/133039/dscn2057.jpg"></center><p>Any ideas why this cable won't work?

It was intended for my 96 A4 w/bose

I have the cd changer in the trunk with the 8 pin DIN connection and came across this cable and figured I'd give it a try after reading this tech article <a href="https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec84.shtml">here</a>
Only thing I can think of is the pins on the cable I have do not match up with the factory ones from the cd changer

Any reasons or other options I have to making this work is appreciated TIA<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/audio/msgs/62870.phtml">Audio forum</a></li></ul>

Default Probably won't work with the Delta.

The Delta is a Blaupunkt. The CD changer is made by Alpine. The protocol between them is non standard. It is specific for Audi only.

The head unit needs to see the changer to operate.

Two things you can do:

Make an adapter so the control signals are still routed from the head unit to the changer but the audio signals are redirected from the ipod or MP3 player to the head unit. Sounds complicated but it isn't. I ran like this for a couple of years with my 96.

Retrofit a concert head unit. It's a direct fit with only two wiring changes. Then add an aftermarket ipod adapter Blitzsafe or DICE.
This is the best solution if you don't care about the CD changer as it won't work any more. You can resell those 8 pin changers on E-bay and probably come out ahead. I ran like that on my 96 for 3 years with no problems.

Default Do you have any more info on doing the delta to concert HU swap?

I know it's been over a month but I am only tackling this project now figured I'd give this thread a shot before posting another.
