Default YES! Found coilpacks!!!! Hope they work!

<center><img src="http://www.ignitionsolutions.com/technology/installations/vwpassat/images/PB_VWAUDI.jpg"></center><p>Someone on the B6 forum suggested this place. I got them for $595 (all 4), overnighted for an additional $30!

I'm assuming that i'm paying a bit much because I heard that the OEM version cost around $200 for all four. Anyone know if that's correct?

I'm planning on going to the dealer tomorrow and having them diagnose the coils to see which one(s) are dead and then I will try to replace just those. If that works I might just return the remainder of the coils... anyone know if i can run a combo of the plasma coils and OEM coils? Or I might just keep the old ones around in case of emergency! Or I could wait for the ones that they ordered to come in at the dealer and keep all of them... I doubt they would allow that.

Hopefully I will drive home tomorrow in my own car!

Why is that? Don't they operate independently from each other?

Default They act independently, but having one cylinder getting multiple sparks and the others...

getting individual sparks isn't a good thing. Almost like having high-octane gas in one cylinder and the cheap stuff in the rest.

So aftermarket coil packs give out multiple sparks?
