Default isnt it also just aluminum? I have to agree, in this case, not much would have saved the pan...

not at speed anyway.

Default Been saying for years this design is crap. Wouldn't take the A4 on a road trip more than 50mi

Someone aftermarket should make a damn steel pan.

The cinder block was already off the truck, exploded all over the road unfortunately.

I shut it down immediately, so I am pretty sure it didn't seize. They overnighted a pan for me.

Default One positive thing out of this.... the shop that has the car right now is going to.......

build me a custom 3" resonated exhaust with a high-flow cat for $500 and they will do it while they wait for the parts for the pan. Booyah.
