Default Bummer. I hit a load of red onions last year that fell off a semi in front of me.

Not the Audi, it was a Volvo 850 T-5. Middle of the night on a pass in ID. No place to go, let off the brakes and went for the truck tire ruts. Tore off the belly pan, broke the radiator off the mounts, and broke the intercooler case. The radiator held, so we limped it home the 60 mi getting about 2 mpg. Car smelled like onion rings for months.

I think I'll get that skid plate for the A4.

Default When I was a little kid, on a family trip to Myrtle Beach..........

We hit a big *** bail of hay, not one of the ones that women buy for halloween, but an exteremely large bail of organic matter. Some farmer in NC lovingly forgot his tarp in the barn I assume. My grandfaher was driving our Chevy conversion van (picture = Griswald family) when the damn thing came rolling off the truck in front of us. Total debauchery. Old man - big truck - family van - and one really confused tow truck driver. We ended up using the trusty old duct tape to hold the grille on, and the winch cable from said tow truck worked *wonders* for the front bumper. This is after removing said bail from undercarrige, and rolling it off the freeway. We made it to our destination of a real nice oceanfront resort looking like a bunch of true hillbillies, we even had the WV plates and cracked windshield to make it authentic. The van sustained moderate damage to the front suspension and seering, but could something so small as a totaled van stop us you ask? Absolutely not. We put in our time at this ritzy-assed resort, surely being ridiculed by the upperclass guests, and made the trek home. Van bouncing and jittering the whole way there. Knocked out the AC too, which made mom and grandma real happy (and quite bitchy if I remember correctly). The moral of the story is........well hell.....I got this far and don't really have a good conclusion.......oh well you get the picture.

Dosen't have anything to do with your oil pan, or nice cars for that matter, just a similar story with no good ending.

THE END

I hit a fruit crate as well. In a Camry. Made it sound like a racecar. Errr...ricecar.

Is it a pain to drain the oil without slopping it on everything?
