Default Yet another Control Arm HORROR STORY

Brought my audi to Dover Auto World today for a control arm replacement. I get a call 3 hours later. It seems all 4 control arms have to be replaced, which will cost me in the range of 1400 bucks... Damn, before this I owned a ford probe gt, to replace the struts with Eibach Coilovers was cheaper then this Oh well ...

Default $1400??? what you need to do is to not go to a dealer

I've changed everything from tie rods, tie rod ends, control arms, etc. and the total wasn't that much.

regards,
Liam

Default WTF, 4 control arms are like under 400 bucks. They charge $1000 for labor?

Those things can be swapped out in less than 2 hrs.

You're talking about the upper control arms right?

i haven't examined them, is it simply a bolt on each end of the control arm through a bushing?
