Default For you guys that saw my post about limp mode - I am back to normal now, 20+ psi...........

So here is how the night started. Many of you know that my car went to limp mode, and I was not really sure why - well I found a few problems

My air filter was a big part of the problem - we are thinking that the car was not getting enough air causing the car to run too rich.

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/43149/dirty_ass_air_filter.jpg">

This is embarrassing

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/43149/dirty_air_filter.jpg">

so is this.....

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/43149/air_filter.jpg">

once we figured out the air filter might be a little too dirty, we begin to test for air leaks

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/43149/the_pressure_test.jpg">

We found a crack in the tube that connects the front cross pipe to the turbo. It was in the seem, had we not tested and felt for air, we would have never found it.

So this is what we did:

Played battle ship to start - I sunk andrews battle ship

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/43149/you_sank_my_battle_ship.jpg">

but we did not let jason play because he cheats

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/43149/****.jpg">

Then we grabbed some some duct tape

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/43149/measuring.jpg">

So this is what it turned out like

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/43149/quick_fix.jpg">

For size

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/43149/size_the_hose.jpg">

So I have my new hose on order - and my car is boosting just about perfect. When started driving this morning, the car was very rough and was not boosting to well, but through the day it has improved 100%

Default I demand a recount or at least a rematch on that game of Battleship!

Did the photo of the crack/split come out at all?
