$1200 to paint lowers?!?!?!?!

The quote I got for the painted lowers was in the Columbus, Ohio area. I did not have it done so I do not know the quality of work. But they said they would remove, prep, paint, reinstall for that price.
The store does a lot of aftermarket Honda body kits. So painting body kits seems to be there specialty.

Yeah...well it still shouldn't cost $1200!!!! That is a rip off.....I agree with you on the fact that what you just said will help keep paint on their for a longer period of time, but I painted the lowers on my 99 Prelude without etching the plastic and it still hasn't chipped....It has been on there for 3 years now. Plus I only paid $150 for the whole deal.....But, that is me taking the lowers off and doing most of the sanding and prep work.
