Default you mean trying to get the bracket with the snub on into the basket? if so...take basket off then

bolt back on as one whole piece...bracket with snub in the basket then mount. I had the same issue.

you can remove the "brace/mount" that sticks into the snub as well

Default Be sure that you have the snub all the way on !

I spent a few minuted wrestling with the damned thing before I realized that I only had the snb 1/2 way on !

It should go on quite nicely if you have it properly fitted to the support arm.

Default The snub's not fully on...don't shave it! Put it in boiling/hot water to make it more pliable...(m)

then shove it all the way on...that should work. If that bracket doesn't go back on easily, then the snub's not fully on the bracket arm.

Yes...IIRC, you want the flattest surface towards the rear of the car...more rounded towards front.

Default put the basket bolts in...but don't tighten just yet! Once you get the basket bolts in to hold it...

then screw in the bracket and tighten it. Then start the car, rev a little to get the snub and basket settle in. shut off then tighten basket. Restart car to see if there is excessive vibrations when at idle.
