The funny thing is I had a 5spd on my B5 and I noticed it a lot. Now that I have a Tip, I don't
use the e-brake that much. Sorry to hear you manual guys are still having this issue. I agree that someone should have done something about this, seeing how they should have known about it for almost 6 years. I guess not enough people complained about it, or the cost to change it out weighed the benefits.

Agreed it's a problem, but Audi listens and look how they fixed!!!!
This is from the new A3.
Very clever design and will probably make its way to us in the near future.
Definitely solves the problem!
