What if I have a non-GIAC chip? Is the trade-in still valid?

Default Question about the "Ignition Kill" ...

Is it really a misnomer since the true meaning of ignition kill would not allow one to turn on the ignition.

From what I hear, while in "Ignition Kill" mode, you can still turn on the engine, but it will stall shortly after.

My concern is that I've heard numerous cases of car throwing a CEL and running rough if you accidentally turn on a cold engine and shut it off right away without letting it warm up at least a little. If you forget that you're in "IK" mode, you're going to cause just that.

Default I'm not sure I understand your point:

It does kill ignition (spark). The "ignition" key is called that because it starts the ignition of fuel process of the engine.

No reports of the CEL or misfiring after using the security kill program, either. I understand your concerns, but this is not an issue.

Default Todd - two questions -

1)once the ECU has been modified, can the chastity belt be "reapplied" to make it "look" like it's been unmodded?
2) is the IBE "coded" similar to a garage door opener? in other words, will any IBE switch work with any IBE?
TIA
