I'm getting a cel 2181 code on my 1.8
AutoZone says it's the water pump. I recently had the timming belt and water pump replaced (last month) another mechanic says it's a sensor. Can anyone clarify..?

Since the water pump is replaced - You should check coolant temp sensor (CTS) & thermostat (hopefully you replaced it during the WP). Either can throw P02181 MIL.

Thanks,
I took the car to my local wrench, he opened the resivoir cap and a little coolant and some air escaped. Then put the cap back on, started the car and the cel did not come back on. Looks like I'm ok for now...
