1.8T car start up - when you start your car does it idle at 1200+rpm then idle down to 800 rpm after

Default EGR does not run at idle, it would stall the engine. It's usually

calibrated in at about >35mph, and with the engine temp at a normal operating point.

Agree, you should drive your car cold but at very low rpm's

It's just the climate control- AC & Heat, basically. (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning)

when it is -30 deg C you let your car run for a cpouple minutes.
