Default 1.8t misfiring

Hello all,
Recently replaced the coolant flange and connected hoses at the back of the head, as it was cracked and leaking. I had to remove the coil pack connectors (which were very brittle), injectors and injector rail, combi valve, and PCV valve to get to it. After putting everything back together, I started the car back up, and it had developed a misfire in cylinder 2. So I ripped out the old coil connectors and wired in new ones. Now it misfired on cylinders 4,3 and 1, even after switching the coils around. So, I ripped the coil connectors back out, rewired them again very carefully, and the car is running a little better, but still pretty terrible. I haven't had a chance to scan it yet, but the check engine light was flashing. I also heard a weird whistling noise, maybe a vacuum leak? If anyone has any advice or can help at all, that would be greatly appreciated. I have to leave on Sunday the 4th to take my car cross country to school, so I'm running very low on time. Thanks.

I'd replace your coils and with that cheap(ish) insurance, you can rule that out...

If you have whistling, I would lean more to something in your vacuum system is still disconnected which will cause misfires. Pancake valve would be my first guess, but you will just have to dig into it. If you do get codes, it will likely be on all cylinders if there is a vaccuum leak. If you only have one cylinder misfiring, I would go back to the coil pack wiring.

Hate to say it but the coil wiring is notoriously weak. I would also be checking the ignition harness to be sure

Default Check your check valves

I just did this exact job and ran into the same problem. Put everything back together and the car started, but was running really rough.
Multiple misfires, was looking at wiring harness as culprit.

Turns out when pushing all the hoses around I snapped one of the check valves. Ended up snapping another one too.
I could still get the end of the valve back in the hose. Started after this and the car was idling as normal. Ordered 2 new valves and we'll see if it stays fixed.

Help! I need some clarification with what that means ,i can't figure out the problem...I've changed the spark plug, the valves and the flange, it's not one of the ignition coils..What else could it be ? Check light dissappears and reappears.
