Looking to buy an A4 with a manual trans. It will be a daily commuter, but I like performance too ( my other car is a '65 Mustang )
What are the performance differences between the 1.8T and the V6? Anybody got a link ( or know ) 0-60, skid pad, braking numbers?

The 3.0 has more than the 1.8T.

We had a 1.8T CVT as a loaner once and the power curve just seemed all wacky compared to what we were used to.

Edit:
You're going to get a lot of "chipped 1.8T => 3.0" type answers but with torque it's not just how much but how soon. If you have to rev the crap out of it like a motorcycle it isn't much fun.

Most of all those numbers would at best be a guide though, if you plan on modding.

there isn't much of a performance comparison between the two imo, I've driven both and own a 3.0

Stock 3.0 = faster than 1.8t. Chipped 1.8T = faster than 3.0
