Default 1.9% Financing

So... If Audi currently is offering 1.9% financing and has BEEN offering 1.9% financing for many months now, why did I get 2.9% financing when I bought our A4 at the end of April? Do the rates vary by region or did my dealer pull a fast one on me and keep the extra one percent somehow?

Isn't it based on your credit rating (FICO)?

They threw out the number 1.9% for me too--provided that I had exceptional credit, but gave me 2.9% instead because it was the first loan that I took out. I dont have any debt, so I am clean--but the fact that its my first car pushed it up 1%.

Yep--you need a relatively high FICO score to qualify--over 740, or so I was told
