Default 10000 mile check up question

I'm @ 9 months but only 5000 miles on my 1.8, and the oil's looking dirty. I topped off at 3000, but otherwise have had no problem. Should I set up the appt now (realizing it will likely be at least 2 weeks before they get me in) or sit tight til at least 7500 miles?

I know, I know. I need to drive more.

Default RareAir is right. I went to KenDoll GT-1 5w-40 Full Synth at 8400. Synthetic is...

by far the best way to go with the 1.8T IMHO. If you want a quick & dirty education on oils, do a search for Audi Junkie's post (more like a doctoral dissertation) on the various types of synthetic oils and how they differ.

Default Check out this thread...

Within it Placitas and AudiJunkie debate the value of oils and their replacement timing.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/250301.phtml">linky</a></li></ul>
