There is a local gas station that sells 100 octane fuel, I have an A4 3.0 Quattro, will it damage my engine in any way?

Default It shouldn't...

because firstly, your engine has knock sensors and should adapt itself to the different RON rating, secondly, your 3.0 litre engine is designed for high octane fuel (98 RON) anyway, and thirdly, the higher the octane rating the less chance for knocking. There would've been a worry if you went on a too low octane fuel.

Default Provided it's not that 100 RON racing fuel that BP sell in Aust....

which contains lead. It'll screw your catalytic coverter and lambda sensor, big $$$ to repair. Know of people with WRX's that have used this fuel and had these problems.

It's not the octane rating, it's the fact it contains lead and is a nasty fuel.

It will kill an 02 sensor in record time, the o2's will most likely be damaged so badly the engine won't run well enough to get you anywhere to damage the cats.

Its easy to check, just try putting the filler nozzle in the tank, leaded filler nozzles don't fit unleaded filler tubes.
