WTF is the L-hose/check valve?

here's a link to another AW'ers thread. He mentions the crankcase breather hose (3-way hose). In the diagram, also have them check the L-hose (#10) and the combi valve (#6).

I had a small tear on #10 at the elbow. I used Bronze's method to check my breather hose and sure enough, it was really soft.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/967909.phtml">Bronze's post</a></li></ul>

the paint gets pitted so easily as does the windshield. I'm about to try to have my windshield replaced because it's hard for me to see through it in the afternoon sun glare.

you might get lucky and find a very expensive warranty that will extend you for 2 years about $100/month.

this was in the audi warranty manual.

were you referring to extended warranty or the initial warranty?

I've had about 8 service visits since my original warranty expired. Luckily the car is CPO'd so it cost about $50/visit but the work that's been done has been well over $300 for each visit.
