I'm assuming that is the eye, and its black and I have a bad battery. I really do hope that is it - it is horrible not being able to trust your car.
Thank you for taking the time to help me. I really do appreciate your guidance. Once I get the car started I'll take it to the dealer. I'll let you know if its not the battery.
Thanks again and happy holidays.

If you are getting nothing at all upon turning the key to crank, chances are there is an electrical handshake that is not be satisfied that is preventing the starter from being enabled. I can think of a few sources of that issue:
1) The anti-theft system is not seeing a good key read. I might not be 100% on this one, since I'm not sure if Audi's system prevents a crank, or enables the starter and just prevents a start (no fuel, for example).
2) Clutch sensor read. If the pedals are OK, then check the recipient of that signal to make sure it's reading it OK. I don't know if that's the ECU or possibly part of the immobilizer set up.
3) Starter relay. MIght be sticky at cold temps and won't close upon key on.
I'm not sure if these guesses are of any use to you, probably more for the technician working on your car. It should be spelled out for them in their diagnostic procedures. No cranks are a common enough failure mode that they should have procedures for diagnosis. Good luck and let us know how things turn out.

I have 12000 miles, same thing happened last year, this time I'm insisting dealer handle the problem of "ignition contacts contracting in cold weather). Has nothing to do with clutch.
