the resources to launch satellites over North America and Europe. As it is, XM only has two and Sirius only has three. XM also had to implement terrestrial based transmissions in major cities to prevent audio cut-outs from buildings and such. I'm sure Sirius did the same but I didn't check.

If you look at the 2004 options, the Fronttrack get everything as options.
1)No 6-Speed with Fronttrack
2)Concert radio replaces Symphony radio on Fronttrack
3)No longer power passenger seat for A4 3.0 Fronttrack
4)Power lumber support now optional on A4 3.0 Fronttrack.
5)Driver information display will be option on Fronttrack 3.0 and 1.8T
If Audi doesn't want to sell Fronttrack anymore, they should have CVT quattro then they don't have to sell Fronttrack !!!

So it wasn't good to have the FrontTraks have less features or options than the Quattros (or else people would be less tempted to buy into CVT), but now it's apparently OK. How irritating.
I guess they're doing what they can to try and keep the "starting price" of the 1.8T and 3.0 A4 from going up more.

Actually, XM uses Geo-synchronus(Sp?) satellites, so they are always over the US and their signal cannot reach Europe. Sirrus though uses two satellites that orbit over the US - so it would be possible that Sirrus down the line could work in Europe if they spent the money..
