that's just wrong on Audi's part. why on earth would they design it differently?!?!?

can't they keep it the same and save some R&D in the process.

probably they were not able to "mould" the aluminium the way the plastic was moulded

that's unbelieveable! I guess I'm finding out that Audi would rather things fit correctly then try

to force the same process onto each part even though they may be slightly different. Amazing. I guess that's why when US car manufacturers parts share, the quality and fitment can be affected, since they mostly force the part to fit by making small adjustments.
