My understanding: the Ultrasport / S-Line (they are interchange) was introduced in late 04 (I think as an 05 model) and had RS4 18" wheels (vs 17" on the sport), larger door flares, euro bumpers (shorter than NA bumpers), a different lower lip on the front bumper and lower valence on the rear bumper. I think there are also some bits on the inside that are different: steering wheel and shifter. The suspension is the same between sport and the USP / S-line. You can look for the badge, but badges are cheap. I have seen quattro badges on non-quattro cars, for instance. I would look at the VIN and do the research to determine if it really is a USP / S-Line or a knock-off.

I have an 05 A4 Ultrasport/S-Line and still have the window sticker. The Ultrasport is a package that has an S-Line badge on the steering wheel. The Ultra Sport Package included the following: 18-inch Alloy Wheels, Sport Suspension, Summer Performance Tires, Aluminum Interior Trim, Aerodynamic Kit, Perforated Leather Steering Wheel.

lyleswk and Tjordan are correct. US '04 & '05 USP's had s-Line on the steering wheel ONLY. The USP's that I saw in Europe, '04 and '05 had the external side molding S-Line badges that the only the US '05.5 + years had.
('05.5 aka 2005 1/2 saw a body style change from B6 to B7)
The Euopean Ultrasports also had different sport seats that weren't available in the US and no blacked out sport headlights. They were chrome like the regular US A4's. They also had a dual side mount intercooler (DSMIC) setup that yielded 190HP motor denoted by a red "T" on the rear deck/hatch in place of our chrome "T" on the 170HP US models.
Also, my 2005 had a build date of July '04 so if you are looking at an '04 it might have a '03 buildate but not sure.
I hope that helps.

so, for those of you who know the difference (mainly Audi_80), are these 2 steering wheels the same?
