Default 255mm vs. 245mm rear rotor

How do you know which you need? Aside from pulling the wheel measuring (2005 1.8TQ, sport) I STFA and only found myself more confused.

I think 1.8T uses 245mm and 3.0 uses 255mm rear brake rotors

Yeah, I'd go with the 245mm for the 1.8t.

Default I figure 245mm will fit either way but...

...if you had the option to buy an extra 10mm for just 20 bucks, wouldnt you!? lol

Yeah, it's weird. My '05 has 245s in the rear.

Default Not sure if 255mm requires a different caliper carrier

If it was plug and play, get the 255s, but I think it's different parts on the caliper/carrier between the two.

Default Take off the wheel, the dimension is cast into the rotor hat (if it's OEM).

It's the only way to be sure, and they aren't interchangeable.
