Hey what is the air that is connected to the side of the airbox for? I see it goes down under the car to a plastic turbo looking unit .. I attached a 3in KN air filter right before the MAF , currently being held up by another clamp. I am in the process of making a actual mount for it .
also I need to replace my bank 1 S1 sensor pre cat on passenger side. However I cannot find it. I was told it is under cool pack 3. I see the post cat or down stream one . Any tips on locating b1S1 o2

That air connection is to the secondary air injection motor.

Regarding the bank 1 S1 sensor, I'm guessing what you're seeing is the pre-cat sensor. The post-cat sensor is more easily seen from under the car.

I thought the secondary air injection is on the other side of motor next to the throttle body?
I thought this thing is the hvac system or something?

The secondary air injection pump is on the passenger side, below and in back of the headlight. Follow that tube and it will lead you to the SAI pump.

So where is the original airbox? Your K&N might make a sound that you like, but horsepower will be lower (warmer air, no ram effect from the under-hood intake) and will clog faster, as it has much less filter area than the OE element.

The air box is in my garage. I will put it back today.
