Default Back to diagnostics

Greatly appreciated for all the help. The CEL came back on the other day after two weeks of good engine performance, so now I will be replacing some more lines. Good to have the diagram.

You might want to find someone with a code reader (VCDS would be best, IMO) to determine what is causing the CEL to light. This should help you in your troubleshooting.

I went to my local Audi and the service manager that I've known for years was kind enough to check the codes. That's when I started to replace all the vacuum lines. Thanks to the diagram, I found where the rest of the lines went to, including the one that I clearly should not have plugged. A few scraped fingers later, I just have one last line to get. It's amazing how crispy these lines got and how they hide below other stuff. What a nightmare to replace this crap.

Just to answer the OP and perhaps anybody else who may be reading this later. The highlighted line leads to the passenger side kombi valve on the back of the head. It Y-splits into the shutoff valve on top of the motor and to the driver's side kombi valve. Cheers.
