I'm still trying to figure out how the other 2 coil packs fail as soon as I put the new one on. Also the plugs were def in need of changing, I drove the car around and I think its def smoother then it was before the initial coil pack failed. Thanks for all the help guys, much appreciated.

Oh other thing I was curious about was why did I get the codes for p0102 and po444? As soon as I started the car the check engine light never came back on. I'd just like to post as much info as possible for someone who had the same problem as me.

Stolen from google (some VW forum):

"P0444 is an evap code, specifically evaporative emission system purge control valve open circuit. Replace the purge valve, its probably the most common thing I do for all vw evap codes. I doubt you would notice much of a difference in how the car ran with this bad."

I bet it applies to our cars as well.

Figured, I wasn't going to give my car a chance to have them die on me onsie, twosie. I just replaced all six, with a newer revision and hopefully no more problems.

Now you have a clean MAF too, and new plugs, so you should be good to go for a while
