330XI OR A4 3.0 Q
WHICH ONE IS YOUR BEST PICK? MY CONCERN IS BASED ON RELIABILITY, SAFETY, AND NICE LOOKING (SPORTY). IF THAT IS TOO MUCH, THEN 325 XI OR 1.8T Q??? THANKS FOR YOUR PICK.

Re: 330XI OR A4 3.0 Q
I did the same research before I bought. The two cars are almost equal all areas. I would give the edge to the quattro over BMW's AWD. I am sure the A4 was designed with AWD in mind where BMW added it after the fact.
You can get a great 1.8T Quattro for around 30K. You get a new body style, and everyone will think you paid you paid a lot more for the car. Everyone who sees my car thinks I paid 35-45K.
Personally when you spend this kind of money you have to buy what you like. Drive them both and the decision should be easy. It was for me! A sweet quatto ride for under 30 with a proven motor and a new body style, that was an easy decision for me.
Good luck!

330Xi lacks the real sports suspension as 330i
The 330Xi's sports package is more of an appearance package. It still uses the soft standard suspension and high-profile tires, also the extra inch doesn't look good.
A4 3.0 has real sports suspesion, it looks lower and nicer.

330 Overpriced wanna-be competition for the A4. Its such a failure that they are discontinuing the
car..why would you waste your money on it? The AWD System is not even close to the level of quattro. Istead of transfering torque to individual wheels during slippage, like quattro does. the bimmer relies on its ABS system to hit the breaks to wheels during slippage. Pretty primitive if you ask me. Even the subaru AWD is far more advanced.
your choice. but the bimmer does have great styling though

Quattro all the way
I was looking at both cars as well but Quattro versus RWD. Once I decided on AWD then the choice was clearly the A4. Way too many questions about the BMW AWD systems for me. I have not seen a direct comparison by an impartial third party, but the info that I get makes me very nervous about the BMW system
