acually BMW first made the ix series in the ealry 90s. From my understanding, it was esentially the
same AWD system used on the xi. That was the one that was discontinued and now they are cutting back production on the xi b/c of low sales.

They're both great cars but,
BMW is only making the Xi to fight Audi and I guess the X-type. I, as a consumer, would not want to spend that kind of money on a car that seems to be made only to hurt other manufacturers, not to further BMW's own position.
It just doen't seem like a concept that BMW will stand behind for very long and it is doubtful how much development they put into it. BMW is very pro-rear wheel drive, the Xi does not fit.

I HEARD THAT 1.8 T HAS MORE ENGINE PROBLEMS THAN 2.8 OR 3.0 PLUS NOT LONG LASTING COMPARED TO 2.8 OR 3.0. IS IT TRUE? WITH LESS MONEY YOU GOT 1.8T, BUT WHAT PART OF ELEMENTS THAT YOU DON'T HAVE IT IN 1.8T THAT YOU REALLY MISS IT? IN OTHER WORDS, BESIDE THE MONEY WISE, WHAT FACTORS THAT MADE YOU BOUGHT 1.8T INSTEAD OF 3.0?
