6-spd 3.0 owners: Does your wheel pulsate at idle with A/C on max (LO)?

I took my car in to get detailed today and as I was talking with one of the detailers, I mentioned this issue and he said that he had not noticed it on the other A4 3.0's that they had seen.
The dealer has previously diagnosed this problem as 'normal' and at least one other car on their lot appears to exhibit the same problem. However, I think that the vibration I am feeling might be pretty bad compared to other A4's out there.
So the questions are: Do you feel a similar vibration, and if so how severe is it?

Got the same problem. Had the power steering pump replaced at 2500 miles and it is still doing the same thing. Seems like a poor design coming from a B5 - quite disappointing.....

All that I can feel after I turn off the A/C is a very subtle hint of engine vibration through the wheel as it's idling. The A/C pulsation is maybe 10-100x worse than the engine vibration. It seems to go away once the revs get up to about 1500-2000.
Do you find the same thing?
BTW, my steering pump was replaced at like 3k miles, steering rack at about 6k, and I still get the problem. I agree, it's very disappointing. It's really the only thing that I dislike about this car and it by itself is bad enough to make me think about a BMW after only 10k miles.![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Well, maybe the car will look so pretty and shiny after it gets detailed that I will fall in love with her all over again.

The steering wheel massaging my hands at a stoplight is pretty bad. =/

Yep - I get the same thing. It is still there with the AC off - the noise is loudest when at idle and you try to turn the wheel.

The power steering groan is a separate (perhaps related) problem.
I'm trying to diagnose the A/C causing vibration through the steering wheel, not the groaning noise.
Does your car's steering wheel vibrate / pulsate with the A/C on?
