Before the service...I thought my car had serious problems cause turbo was running raspy and hesitating throttle response at acceleration...
Jim at San Mateo VW/Audi independent Service did a great job getting my baby back in shape...You'd think the Neuspeed chip on my car got rejuvinated cause the car is so responsive again with good torque & acceleration. New sparkplugs must have helped cause the old Beru plugs thats on my car for +30k miles looked all sooty and burnt.
Taking my car to Streetwerke in Palo Alto tomorrow for the APR stage 1+ with injectors conversion.

I guess its not as bad as open cone filters used in CAI systems.

Just around $900 for the Timing belt Kit replacement...I supplied the filters and sparkplugs for Jim to install....Good deal considering the Audi Service centers here in Bay Area are quoting me about $1500 for them to do the job. Alot of little smaller shops in the area are willing to do it slightly cheaper but they do not specialize in working with Audis & VWs.

The dealership told me that Timing belt for 1.8T's can run up to 90K miles. My car is mildly Tuned with Chip & Exhaust so the extra power from a stock 1.8T would also mean extra stress and wear on engine bits...including its timing belt. I learned from others here that its better be safe than doing a cosly repair...Repairing Engine innards such as bent valves due to timing belt failure can reach around $3000 to fix....The Timing belt kit also includes new Waterpump, tensioners and seals which gives it another good 60k worryless miles.
Now this is for Timing belt for the 1.8T...I believe the 3.0 V6 uses a chain and does'nt require replacement till past 100k miles....not sure about the seals and waterpump.

be Audi's fault? I'm not worried too much since I have warranty coverage up to 100K.
