I have done lots of reading about all the problems with a chip on these cars. I am looking for someone who had a chipped 2001 and now has a chipped 2002+. My question is, was it as fast as the old car? I had my 04 chipped yesterday, and it is definatly faster than stock (quite a bit too), but I dont get that rear ended by a truck feeling a little below 3000rpm, nor does it feel the torque is as strong. I am purposely withholding the chip brand for the time being till I get an answer or two.
Thanks,
Greg

the car is considerably faster than stock. i find myself pulling thru gears like no other. even in 6th, which imho used to suck cuz its nothing good but to cruise with at 80mph on the freeway is uber fast now too.
sorry no experience with b5s, but if i remember correctly, their chips were only meant to boost up to 1.0 bar

It was dumped and then retuned. The chip is an upsolute (only one willing to touch an 04). Ecu was a 8e0 909 518 ak. The desolder/dump/reprogram/reinstall was done by my garage in naugy ct. www.mygarageinc.com . i dont work for them, and thats not an ad. No complaints, except slightly slower than my 2001. Definatly made a good difference.
