Default I can't get past the ugly looks of the IS300, so I'll keep my mouth shut...(more!)

It's ugly, I tell ya, ugly. But that's just my opinion and pretty much worthless to you. So, like I said before, I'm keeping my mouth shut and not wasting precious bandwith that could be used more usefully by those who have more useful opinions, since they lack the "ugliness" bias that I hold against the IS300, and will therefore be less likely to keep their mouths shut, like I'm going to do.

Default Well, taillights aside, I felt it looked like a sporty version of the Corolla. :)

Then again, I guess people could say that our cars look like the cheap version of the A6. The IS300 seems decent for what it is, but it's not what I wanted...

Comes down to personal choice and priorities, I suppose.

Default Well...

Took a friend's IS300 for a spin yesterday. I have to say this, the inline 6 is very smooth, approaching BMW smoothness here, the handling struck me as very decent for a stock car, ride quality was good, no rattles, interior built quality looked good (but still has a few spots that looks rather cheap), exterior noise was well dampened. Steering wheel had a nice precise weighty feel.

But, it's still a japanese car, with japanese styling, fake gas pedal feel, brakes wasn't terribly good. Console is very plain and uninspiring, no character.

I've never owned anything but german & italian cars... I doubt I would ever own anything else. I thought it would be interesting to see what kinda responses I could elicit here

Default The front looks like a slightly crazed guppy to me. The back ?

Like a Baboon's butt;-)

http://www.zoo.com.sg/images/openzoo/animal/hamadryas/baboon-backside.jpg</a

Default IS300 is comparable to the 3.0, not the 1.8T. The IS300 is a nice, highly modifiable car.

Test drive them back to back and make a choice. The 1.8 will save you a lot of money, but if money is not a concern, why not just get a 350Z..

Sport luxury vs. factory rice. C&D had it 3rd to the 2nd place 3.0 A4. 330i was 1st of course.

Default I prefer the A4's rear...and front LOL 2 A6. its got an edgier, cleaner look, especially the rear.

later design, thats why!
