sure and thats why the new jetta's parts prefix is 1K0 and the A3 is made of 1K0 parts
keep your mouth shut unless you have something intelligent to say, that way I dont have to be such an asshat.

MKIII = 1H0 MKIV = 1J0 MKV = 1K0
B5 = 8D0
B6 = 8E0
B7 = 8E0
5th generation A platform A3 (8P0) or as sold in the US in 8P4 (4 indicating long like the 4E4 A8 is the A8L). Is based on the "A" platform not the B platform. The MKV jetta is also based on the A platform and the evidence is in the parts that make em up under the bodywork. nearly all of the parts begin with 1K0. The jetta sedan will be 1K5 5 indicating sedan, wagons are usually 9 and the exception being the allroad with the 4Z7 prefix.

getting pretty distant now, without our quad link suspension and with a transverse mount engine
I'd say its more like a plus sized jetta for those too obese to drive a jetta. I think both are hideous looking.
