Default A4 performance upgrades?

I'm new to the audi line, but would like to know what are the best performance upgrades for the car and what is recommended first?

Default i'd tell you to search if the damn thing worked...

People get the most bang for their buck out of chipping/injectors. This may cause warranty problems, but people tend to accept the risk without too many problems.

Chip companies...
ABT**
APR
Dahlback*
GIAC
MTM**
Neuspeed
O.CT*
Revo
Upsolute
Wetterauer

*denotes meeting TUV approval in Europe
**denotes meeting both TUV and VDAT certifications.

cheers! Mike

Default Chip/Software

I have not done any serious mods yet to my car, but yesterday I did a six hour test run on Apr software which made a huge difference so Im going to be getting that any day now. Most chips are going to run you about 500. Its your best bang for the buck mod. Visit goapr.com.

Default Re: Chip/Software

I can make my own chips, just want to know what should be done in what order. ECU tuning always gives you the highest HP return, if tuned properly with the rest of the car.

I tried to search, and really could not find any good information.

What I'm looking for is for examply like 1)cold intake 2) intercooler 3) downpipe 4)ecu 5)ect

Suspension sway bars what size, ect, ect.

I'm an enthusiast who years ago got simply tired of the high prices we European Car owners had to pay for upgrades and started my own performance company to offer high quality parts at affordable prices. Recently some local Audi owners approached me into making some parts for the A4 and S4 and I want to find out more about the cars and popular upgrades.

Ah.....yes I can. It's really not that hard once you dive into the whole subject matter. The hardest part is finding the correct maps in ecu.

Default Personally I wouldn't give my ECU to someone with limited experiance tuning audi computers

However I would be interested in intakes or intercoolers that have dyno backup for hp/tq results.

Default sure, here are some upgrade paths for the B6 A4...

1. Chip + Injector Combo (IMO a nesessity to go with the larger injectors)

2. Exhaust: Several great companies- MTM, Dahlback, Milltek, Thermal, Neuspeed, APR

3. Intercooling: Audi makes an OEM dual side mount or a front mount is available (nicest ones currently are the O.CT and APR)

4. Suspension: Coilovers for the streets include KW v.1-3, HR, Vogtland, Koni (aka stasis street). Coilovers for the track and street include Stasis Track and Motorsport, Bilstein PSS9 and KW 2and3-way Race.

5. Swaybars: HR Sport S4 swaybars reduce overall role AND shift the car back to neutral handling (away from understeer).

6. Drivetrain: Upgraded front and side motormounts available from neuspeed, apr and oem audi parts (purems.com). Upgraded TorSen mods available from Stasis to change rear bias from 66% to 80%.

2. Forget the CAI on our cars. The box is mounted right next to the turbo and the stock sealed airbox has been tested to be efficient to 400hp.

If larger turbo is your liking...

1. K04 turbo upgrade...about 40hp over what a similarly modded K03 can make.

2. APR Stage 3 or MTM Stage 4...about 80hp more than a K03 can make.

cheers! Mike
